My first project is this cute little card:

I was stumped for a while as Stampin' Up! does not currently have any star dies/punches. I then wondered what would happen if I tried making my own using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. BINGO! It took a little fiddling to get the arms straight but this was indeed a happy little experiment!

 This card would be perfect for your favorite soldier, police officer or firefighter!

SUPPLIES:
PAPER: Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White cardstock
STAMPS: Petite Pairs
INK: Midnight Muse
Tools: Small Heart and Petite Pennants Builder Punches;
Big Shot, Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
OTHER: Dimensionals

Now that I am American, I thought I better find something patriotic for our front door!

I sewed pieces of fabric together and made a casing along the long edge of it. Then I unwound the twisted part of the wire hanger so I could slide the hanger through the casing. I just glued the star and beads to the back of the wreath.

SUPPLIES:
Fabric: Summer Smooches
OTHER: Wire Hanger, Star Ornament, Silver Christmas Bead Garland

I also used the Petite Pennants Punch to make a star. I really like your card and the stripes on it. Love the idea of making a wreath with our fabric and a ruffle. Thanks for sharing!

Aaack, Nancy Love, your star card is fabulous! What a creative way to use the pennant punch!!! Before I read the post I was like" how'd she do that?" Looks like a die at first glance (and even though I know we've never carried a star die that looks like that, i was still thinking it was :-) I also like your wreath. It's simplicity is very nice and the star dangle is the perfect touch. :) Thanks for sharing.
