Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop : February Edition

Can you believe it is February already? We have certainly been blessed with great weather in Colorado this winter. I surely don't miss shoveling the white stuff!

February is when many of the stores are filled with candy and roses and valentines but those of us who love Stampin' Up! know this time of year as SALE-A-BRATION!! This is when our customers get extra FREE products when they make purchases or host workshops! So to celebrate this occasion, the ladies of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad are featuring Valentine and Sale-A-Bration-themed projects.

Here are all the others participating this month:

The first project I have for you is one that was a little "out of my comfort zone". I tend to work in monochrome or complementary color schemes. Even my husband commented that it was "spicy"! LOL. It was a great occasion to stretch my creativity! :-)

The Sale-A-Bration catalog features a beautiful new set of Designer Series Paper called Everyday Enchantment. I knew I wanted to use this for a number of upcoming projects. Stampin' Up! has a done a wonderful job of pairing these unusual color combinations. And do you notice that beautiful scroll-cut edge? That was done with the new Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies found in the Occasions Mini Catalog. And there are even coordinating embossing folder to match!

My second project is a cute little journal book. Stampin' Up! sells these awesome spiral-bound On Board Art Journals that you can decorate as you choose. The inside has 20 blank pages for writing little notes and ideas for yourself or someone you love. What a great idea for Valentine's Day!

Once again I stretched my creativity by following the Squad's Color Challenge:
Blushing Bride, Perfect Plum and Sahara Sand. A good thing I had a whole mess of Perfect Plum buttons! :-) The Designer Series Paper is from the Twitterpated set in the Occasions Mini Catalog. The large flower is actually made from ONE STAMP!! It is really effective when you punch the pieces out separately with our coordinating punches!

PAPER: Blushing Bride, Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand, Twitterpated DSP.
STAMPS: Triple Treat Flower
INK:Versamark
TOOLS:Fancy Flower Punch, 5-Petal Punch, Small Heart Punch, Heat Tool

That journal is awesome! Great details on it! I also really love the "Spicy" card. That DSP is probably my favorite ever and I love to use it as the main focus of a card as you have done here. Wonderful work! TFS!
